Enhancements

API | ACME Payments

We are launching ACME Payments, a new generic omnichannel payment infrastructure to enable the solving of additional business needs. ACME payments will leverage our existing broad payment acceptance capabilities such as our fraud shield, compliance control, and financial workflows, from payout to reconciled financial reports.

Our new APIs will enable authorization, charge, refund, and card on file use cases, whether online or via a card-present connected to our card readers. Our card reader JavaScript SDK can either enable you to build new web-based applications with point of sale (POS) functions or retrofit existing web applications to become POS enabled.

In order to reduce your integration costs, we have made those new APIs and SDK easy to use from a developer standpoint, including code samples in our platform documentation.

We look forward to hearing about your integration ideas as you imagine new possibilities: from connecting your open CRM platform to our payment processing, to new e-commerce integrations above and beyond ticketing/membership, to new POS capabilities. Contact us to learn more.

API | 8 Digit Bank Identification Number (BIN) Support

We have upgraded our foundational library to prepare for the upcoming BIN change which will migrate from 6 to 8 digits. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) announced  that it would expand card issuing Bank Identification Number (BIN) length from six to eight digits. To support this new standard, the Payment Networks will begin issuing eight digit issuing BINs to ensure sufficient supply. Bank Identification Numbers identify card brands, types, and issuing country.

API | Automation Test Coverage

We have increased our automation test coverage in order to test our codebase with higher velocity in advance of a release. This will help bring new features to market faster as less manual testing will be needed.

New and Updated Knowledge Articles

We have completed the documentation for all of the emails supported in the SendGrid Integration, released with 11.17.0.
