Overview
While the POS (Point of Sale) Application comes with a default layout, you can configure many different aspects of the application's appearance. These configurations are done in the Back Office, in the Point of Sale Configuration Tool.
Using the POS Configuration Tool, you can create different Point of Sale (POS) Configurations. You can create as many POS Configurations as you want.
Some customizable aspects of the POS are highlighted below:
Many venues create a single POS Configuration and use it throughout their system. Other venues create multiple POS Configurations and use them in different locations, or on different Sales Terminals. To work properly, the Point of Sale Configuration Tool needs other elements of the Back Office to have been set up already. In particular, you will need the following:
If you haven't set these up yet, you should do so before using the POS Configuration Tool.
POS Configuration
There are lots of different aspects of the POS you can customize. Here are some of the more significant ones. For details on how to update these settings, please see the POS Appearance Configuration article.
Pages and Tiles
The POS is organized into Pages. Each Page consists of a 4x5 grid of Tiles. You can configure where on the page different Tiles will go, and what different Tiles will look like. You can also decide how many Pages to display on the POS. You configure all of this in the Tiles tab.
Splash Images
On ACME Sales, when the app is not using both sides of the screen, the right side of the screen displays images. These are called Splash Images. You can configure them in the Splash Images tab. A blank template to create your own splash image pages is attached at the end of this article. The POS Config Splash Image Carousel can hold up to twenty (20) images at one time.
Navigation Buttons
Navigation Buttons show up at the top of ACME Sales, and let you look up individual members, organizations, or customers. You can configure these in the Navigation Buttons tab.
